Benefits of Body Wraps and Scrubs

Body wraps help rid the body of excess fluids and toxins. The benefits of body wraps include body contouring, detoxification, boosting of the lymphatic system and metabolism, temporary inch loss, skin tightening, and skin softening.

Body scrubs use a blend of oils with fine and coarse grains of salt or other natural ingredients to exfoliate and detoxify the skin.

Sarah provided the following tips...

For dry, winter chapped hands

SUGAR SCRUB AND HONEY WRAP FOR HANDS

½ cup olive oil
½ cup sugar (substitute - brown sugar)
¼ cup honey
Mix olive oil and sugar. Massage over hands for light exfoliation, then rinse. Microwave honey until warmed (not too hot!) and apply to hands. Wrap hands with plastic wrap and relax for 30 minutes.

AVOCADO CARROT CREAM BODY MASK

(Avocados are rich in Vitamin E; carrots are high in beta-carotene and antioxidants; and cream contains calcium and protein. These ingredients will rebuild skin collagen, improve tone and texture, and fade age spots.)

3 avocados, mashed 3 carrots, cooked and mashed 1 1/2 cups heavy cream 3 eggs, beaten ½ cup honey Combine all ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Spread gently over body, and leave in place 10-15 minutes. Rinse with water.

Maple Sweet Body Wrap - Hydrate and revitalize.

AROMATHERAPY SHOWER

Wet an extra washcloth and scent it with a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Put the washcloth on the shower floor and let the water run hot to steam up the room and dispense the scent. Lavender oil is excellent for relaxation.

EYE DETOX
(Reduces puffy eyes. Great treatment while relaxing during the honey wrap for hands.)

2 Chamomile Tea Bags, wet or Cucumber, two thin slices
1 bag frozen peas
Lay down in a comfortable, relaxing location. Place tea bags or cucumber slices over each eye and lay unopened bag of frozen peas over eyes for a minimum of 30 minutes.
